The building at 1533 Lewis St is the last remaining structure from the Polk Sanitary Milk Company, built in 1888 — it has been part of this neighborhood longer than any one alive can remember. Now it's a coworking space, a collective, and a community hub, with the Polklore Micro-Museum on site telling the story of Martindale-Brightwood and the people who built it. The history is on the walls. The work happening inside is new.
